27th Annual Radnor Hunt Concours, Malvern, PA, September 6-8, 2024

For Saturday’s Chester County Road Rally Dr. Veasey Cullen invited me to join him as navigator in his 1924 Springfield Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost rumble seat roadster. Dr. Cullen had driven the Rolls from his home in Easton, MD, and he drove it home after the concours, a trip of well over 200 miles. I took a turn at the wheel and in no time I realized that I don’t know enough about driving a hundred year old car.

On Sunday I judged the Allards. A 1947 M1 3-position Drophead was first in a hotly contested class. The Best Of Show was a 1931 Cadillac 452A V16 Sedan Fleetwood, while the Best Of Show Sport was a 1965 Shelby GT350R.

Join me on September 27-29 for the St. Michaels Concours d’Elegance at the Kent island Yacht Club, Chester, MD, on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
