Seventh Annual Greenbrier Concours, White Sulphur Springs, WV, May 3-5, 2024

Held at “America’s Resort”, the Greenbrier Concours is one of the annual events I always look forward to participating in. The Major Awards are named after people who have been associated with the Greenbrier throughout its history. The Princess Grace award for the Most Elegant Open car was given to the red 1934 Packard 7-passenger Tourer, while the Duke of Windsor award for the Most Elegant Closed car went to a black 1947 Bentley MK VI Coupe by Figoni & Falaschi. The Dorothy Draper award, named after the designer of the Greenbrier’s whimsical interiors, was given to a 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo S. The People’s Choice Award went to what was certainly the most unique car on the field, the 1915 National Hearse. The highest honor, the trophy given to the Best Of Show, was awarded to the 1911 Oldsmobile Limited Touring Car, one of two remaining in existence, and the overwhelming choice of the judges.
