  This 1978 C3 Corvette Stingray with the rare L-82

4 Speed combination was purchased by the current owner’s father in 1979 from the original owner with around 2500 miles. It has been owned by the same family since 1979.  After the owner’s father passed away, the car was put into dry storage in 2002 where it remained until 2017.  From 2017-2018, the owner restored the car to current’s near-original condition.  The restoration included removing the cracked original lacquer paint down to the fiberglass and repainting it the original Ivory using perfectly-matched modern products (note: the door jams and engine bay remain original paint).  All brake components (calipers, rotors, hydraulics) were replaced with original New-Old Stock (NOS) products.  The fuel tank was also replaced and all fuel lines cleaned.  The original carburetor was removed, steamed-cleaned, rebuilt and reinstalled.  The front carpets were replaced, after being under-lined with top-of-line heat shielding.  The seats, door panels, dashboard, and rear carpets remain original. 
    The car currently has 9800 original miles and was tuned by a Corvette expert who also converted the original A/C to modern refrigerant, which now blows cold.  With the exception of the installed side pipes, the car is as-delivered with the original mint condition rally wheels with fresh era-correct raised letter tires.
